My mother in law has been staying at this place for almost two years now. Marcella and her husband Sam are very nice and easy to work with, they understand the difficulty of take care of our elderly love one, they provide the service as you need and request, their employees are friendly and take a good care of my mother in law. Marcella is a professional and well knowledge owner of her facility and communication are always good , if my mother in law needs anything, she let us know right away, there is no wait time to provide the best for her. So if you need a place for your elderly family members, give her a call!
This place deserves my highest recommendation. After a severe fall my wife no longer could remain at home and be safe due to her balance problems. Marcella and Sam took her in and did a marvelous job in caring for her. They had safety precautions and measures in place that I didn’t think of and so I felt very comfortable as far my safety concerns. I could see that they provided a very warm and loving atmosphere for all their clients. Each time I visited, all the other patients seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and the meals. If I was visiting at meal time they always asked if I could join them in a meal. Sam also provided gentle and loving assistance when my wife needed it. Their children’s presence also added to a loving family atmosphere for all. When my wife finally became severely weak and end of life became apparent, Marcella set me up with a comfortable chair and bedding so I could be beside my wife all night until she passed In the early hours. I’m 82 now and if I become incapable of caring for myself this is where I’d like to spend my days. 5 stars from me. William Jenkinson
My dad was at Joy Peace & Love for a little over two years. He suffered from Alzheimer's along with many other health issues including diabetes. My dad's dementia journey was not an easy one on him or anyone around him but Marcella and her staff were saints during the whole time he was there. He received excellent care and Marcella was great at communicating with me at all times. Dad's journey has now ended and he exited this world with grace and compassion. I am so grateful for Marcella. She does this work that I couldn't do and I will be forever grateful.
Many issues with this adult family home . The care is poor and it was a continuing revolving door of workers who would stay for a short time and then quit, telling us that they were underpaid or paid late in many cases The food was abysmal, a far cry from what was described to us at the beginning . The owner/operator was very poorly organized and we soon learned to make photocopies of everything we gave her because she frequently lost things.
As a daughter, I wanted a place where my parents would be safe and comfortable. They had the master bedroom and their own bathroom. My mother would get up in the night so they prepared an alarm so when her foot hit the floor help was there. I always felt free to call the owners If I had any concerns. This was a good place for my parents to spend their last days together. Thank you Marcella and Sam.

My wife came to live at A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH after a nightmare summer. She began ailing, suffered memory loss, and was having trouble taking care of herself. She is also affected by osteoporosis. As a result, she had bone problems — she fell and broke her right elbow in May of 2010. It was a severe, complicated break that required her to be in a cast for approximately three months. She is right-handed, so she couldn’t eat, dress herself, or do anything except the most personal hygiene. After her last surgery, she was released to what the doctor said was a rehabilitation facility, but in reality, it was a nursing home. We had made arrangements for her to reside at A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH before the last surgery. We came to the home, introduced ourselves, and we came to know Marcela and Samuel, the wonderful couple responsible for running A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH. I can’t tell you how relieved I was to have my wife at this loving, caring place. From the moment she arrived, she received the best of care and attention. The lovely atmosphere, people, and services are truly refreshing and quite remarkable. My wife especially liked how Sam cared for her — always with a gentle smile and a warm look on his face. Of course, Marcela takes the lead in caring for the residents; they all adore her, and she truly enjoys this. Marcela’s attention to detail is unmatched. Whenever our daughter and I visited, we always remarked how clean and fresh their home was. Marcela is truly a gift. She never scolds, yells, or raises her voice to her residents — ever. Caring for my wife this summer was done with such loving devotion. On special occasions, Marcela would barbecue outside with Sam. I was invited to join them for cheeseburgers, salads, and homemade desserts. When I arrived one day, the sweet smell of chocolate cake wafted from the kitchen. Marcela always served very good and nutritious meals, cooked with freshness and care. My wife, Dorrit, had regained her appetite and was eating very well again. As an aside, I was very thankful because Dorrit had gained weight after having lost so much during her illness. I can’t say enough about Marcela’s care and devotion. All summer, she made Dorrit so happy. My wife is with A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH, and I’m filled with relief, confidence, and self-sufficiency. I hope, when I need care, someone as loving and gentle as these people are there for me. Dorrit smokes cigarettes, but of course, smoking isn’t allowed in the home. Residents at A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH are allowed to go out and smoke. There’s a beautiful covered patio/porch in the back of the home where residents can relax and smoke. A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH is as cordial to me and Dorrit as they possibly can be. They provide first-rate, top-level care, yet they are flexible enough to let me take Dorrit to our home on the weekends. I can’t say enough about A+ Meridian Villa Estates AFH. I wouldn’t hesitate to have my children, my parents, or my wife’s care entrusted to this loving couple. I wish nothing but goodness and joy to Marcela and Samuel. — Dan Lavelle
To Whom It May Concern: My wife was a resident in an Adult Family Home operated by Marcela and Sam. They were loving, compassionate, and professional at all times. During her final illness, she was very well cared for by Sam, Marcela, and their staff. Although my wife had several serious physical disabilities, they kept her comfortable and her environment clean and safe. Marcela and Sam were attentive to her needs and responded quickly to any symptoms or medical changes that occurred. I observed that Marcela and Sam treated every resident with kindness, compassion, and patience. My wife was treated as part of their family, and I was welcomed in their home. Although she entered as a very sick patient, she was made comfortable in a safe, loving atmosphere responsive to her needs.
